Sportball Program - Spring 2025
The Greater Windermere Community League (GWCL) will be offering a 10 class Sportball Program to its members this Spring. The program will run on Tuesdays, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 27, June 3, 10 from 6:00pm to 6:45pm. The 5 year old session is geared towards non school aged children 5 & under who are able to walk and run proficiently, and the 6 and up program is for school aged children in grade one or higher who can actively participate and listen to instruction independently. Program will be offered at Joan Carr Catholic School here in Windermere located at 1140 Keswick Drive SW.
The focus of the program will be on social interaction between children as well as improving gross and fine motor skills. The program requires parental supervision and you are NOT allowed to leave your child(ren) unattended. The program will focus on using gym equipment to play games and build motor skills and will rotate every week. Because social interaction is the focus, there will be an instructor to 'lead' the class but it will involve the parents to 'play' with their kids using the equipment (primarily balls).
GWCL has contracted instructors from Sport Ball to host these classes and am able to offer them at a discount to our members. These classes normally cost $160 from Sportball but we will be offering the classes for $120 per child for the 10 classes to our members.
At this time, we can only offer this program to Greater Windermere Community League Members and their children 5 years of age or younger, or 6 years of age or older.
